Qton is a music production company. Founded by Monty Joseph and Charlotte Hersh, Qton write and produce for the music and media industries.
We create IP in music and media through music production and the creation and development of music and media projects.
The Qton Team have a wealth of experience within the music and film industry working with notable artistes in the mainstream including Beverley Knight and Melissa Bell, music production for Ally McErlaine (Texas/ Treasure Tones), writing and production for Leona Lewis, remixing for Mutya Buena (Sugababes) and on films such as Breaking and Entering, the Brothers Grimm, Over the Hedge to name a few.
Qton have delivered projects for Bench, Busara, Profero, Sony/BMG, Capita, NHS Choices, The Prince\'s Trust, Weekend Arts College, Samsung, Channel 4, Whybin TBWA and many more.

Production
With impressive technical know-how as well as a vast knowledge of the creative side of the production process, the audio engineers and producers at Qton Studios have a wealth of experience within the music industry working with notable artists in the mainstream including Paul McCartney, Leona Lewis, Beverley Knight and the Honeyz to name but a few and on films such as Cold Mountain and Harry Potter.
Mixing
All the hard work that goes into producing a strong EP/Album can be compromised in the mixing process if key areas in that process are neglected. At Qton we have experienced engineers that truly understand music and sound and who have the technical know-how as well as acute listening skills.
Music Composition
We create songs and music tailored to the specific genre of the artiste as well as instrumentation and arrangement to ensure peak definition of your sound recording.
Vocal Production
When you are in the vocal booth with all eyes on you to deliver the perfect vocal do you feel ready? Or do you need support and guidance? Vocal production means having your own vocal coach in the studio environment - someone to guide you to achieve your maximum vocal potential through the use of specific techniques, someone that can identify the natural texture of your voice and vocal ‘sweet spot’ and advise on microphone techniques.
Musicians
Even if you are a band, an instrumental solo can enhance the overall feel of a track and give it that extra finish and quality. Mastering is the final step in the overall production process which enables your EP/Album to be played in any medium without misrepresenting the true intention of the sound recording. Over the years we have built up strong contacts with the best mastering studios and engineers.
Production Dialogue Editing
Locating the proper take from the recorded production audio, checking sync (and eliminating extraneous noise) ensures a smooth edit and mix.
ADR
Noisy locations, special effects and dialogue changes are a major part of any TV/ Film production. Wind noise, aircraft, traffic & rain can all be eliminated by good ADR. Using the Automated process of Dialogue Replacement ensures perfect sound [dialogue] to picture quality.
Voiceovers
Whether it’s just one line or whole scripts, we get the best performance from your artist.
Sound Design
We have a terabyte of samples and sound effects. So whether it’s creating a single sound effect or designing the soundscape for a film, we create and produce a sound experience to enhance and complement the director’s vision.

We utilise many different mic techniques and outboard pieces of equipment to produce our foley.
Music Composition
We write and produce audio and music for film and TV. Our collection of composers and producers have extensive experience in all aspects of music, performance and composition; experience which covers a diverse range of musical styles.
Music Editing
Editing music is a key component of audio post production and contributes to the success of any project.
Mixing
We mix for TV, film and commercials using the latest Digidesign Protools HD3 7.4.
Remastering
We remove imperfections on master tapes or other source recordings. Using state of the art technology combined with a wealth of experience we will restore recordings to the best possible sound quality ensuring future enjoyment and listening pleasure for future generations.
